What is the difference with a classic white paint?
Solar radiation consists of approximately 5% UV, 45% visible light (colors) and 50% infrared radiation. For an optimal roof effect, it is therefore necessary to reflect both visible and infrared light. The white color therefore only gives information about the reflectance in the visible range.
In addition, to achieve an appreciable decrease in interior temperature, it is necessary to use a durable solution. A classic white paint will not resist to weathering, will degrade quickly under UV light and will become very dirty. That’s why Cool Roof France’s solution is composed of two complementary products, BaseCoat and TopCoat, allowing to achieve much better results than a classic white paint. The combination of these two coats ensures good adhesion, high thermo-reflective performance and durability thanks to its anti-fouling and anti-UV properties.
